Casting professionals tend to describe my natural voice as follows: mid-to-low range, mature, textured, informative, tomboy, high-energy, confident, authoritative, animated, and my favorite, “like the cool aunt or the cool babysitter.” These are not my limits; these are just your baseline to help you type my pipes.
Over-the-top, cartoony characters are more in my wheelhouse than ones that rely on grounded/film-style acting, but I’ve done work for both styles of delivery. Typical character archetypes I tend to be called on to play: rough/tough chicks, scientists, androids & robots, high-strung/strict military personalities, tomboys, teachers, sexy mommies, big sisters… hammy and/or frantic, high-energy weirdos. Again, these are not my limits — just a baseline.
